Why BexarCAN? Why now?
San Antonio is home to many organizations doing important work — but they often operate independently, making it hard for residents to discover opportunities or connect across causes.
Recent months have made the need unmistakable. Thousands of San Antonians have shown up to rallies, marches, and community events — clear proof that people are motivated and ready to act.
But when those events end, there is rarely a simple way to stay engaged, find what's next, or discover the many other organizations already doing work they care about.
That energy deserves a lasting home.
BexarCAN is that resource — a permanent community hub where residents can discover local organizations, find events and volunteer opportunities, and build connections across the causes they care about.
BexarCAN is NOT:
- A new umbrella organization
- A merged coalition
- A centralized leadership structure
- A replacement for any organization’s website or email list
- A substitute for the independent work of participating groups
